Older adults are digital refugees.

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many to turn to online resources to meet every-day needs. And while some people were already natives of the digital landscape, this is a strange and unfamiliar place to many, especially older adults.

This is not to say seniors are not tech-savvy. Older adults are spending more time in front of their smartphones, tablets and computers. In July, Kristin Ward, CEO, Solutions Advisors Group, was a featured speaker at Senior Housing News Active Adult Summit, where attendees learned the ins and outs of this growing, innovative and complex living segment. One of several presenters, Kristin’s presentation was on The Active Adult Market – Designing for Boomerism Lifestyle.

 

Argentum conference goes virtual.

In the first of what will likely be a series of virtual conferences, Argentum will hold its conference September 22-24.  Titled, “Better Senior Living. Together.” the conference features three days of live presentations and breakout sessions plus a virtual networking lounge and an interactive peer-to-peer discussion forum. LeadingAge conference.

Loosen the tie, kick off your shoes and open your laptop to attend six days of virtual presentations and events at the LeadingAge national conference November 10-12 and November 17-19.
