John Ralosky
John brings to Solutions Advisors more than 20 years of experience in business development, senior care finance, and operations. He specializes in development, budgeting and strategy for new developments, and repositioning and expanding retirement communities. Most recently, John has built his own consulting business with his own portfolio of long-term facilities. Key accomplishments:
- In 2007, John worked with the Phoenix House Foundation to turn around the failing Phoenix Houses of New York and Long Island. Phoenix House is a nationally known leader in substance abuse rehabilitation. During his tenure, he managed a budget in excess of $50 million, eliminated a $2 million operating deficit, rebuilt the sales/intake team, assembled a separate board of directors for the New York region and hired a new management team, which included his successor.
- Between 2005 and 2006 John worked as Vice President of Operations for SeniorBridge, a private pay home care company which specializes in complex, chronic care. During this time, John turned around three failing offices and his programs represented over one half of the company’s entire revenues.
- At Atria Senior Living, John led the turnaround of the struggling Northeast Division, which had 26 properties and revenues in excess of $120 million – over half of Atria’s revenue at the time. Under his leadership the Northeast became the first division in the company to achieve 90% occupancy.
- As Senior Vice President at Benchmark Assisted Living, where he had full profit and loss responsibility, he brought the original Benchmark portfolio of 6 properties from 60% to 95% occupancy in less than four months. Additionally he developed the company’s budgeting systems, profit and loss review process, monthly operating income forecasting process, executive director in training program, and regional management structure.
John holds a Bachelor of Political Science degree from Fordham University.
